Yeah, but its not like I sold my e30 to get this. I had this before the e30. I sold my e30 for an e36M...

I'll be in a proper BMW soon enough, or maybe not soon enough. I got a "loaner" e30 from my buddies shop, and it just feels so right...

One of my best friends and my tattoo artist, Brian, has a 49 Ford business coupe rat rod. He is a member of the Rumbler's NYC, and one time on the way to a show with him his hood latch broke and his hood flew up, smashed the windshield, and put a HUGE human body sized dent in the roof above the windshield. scary, scary shit man, be lucky that's all that happened. It's only a car, it could have been a lot worse. I literally thought that was it for us. We were on the NJ Parkway to Asbury Park doing about 85.

I had the hood on my civic come up on me after a long day at work, three days after I replaced the windshield, had to put another one in.

Did both mechanisms fail? There's the lever-activated one and the safety catch.

Scary! That happened to me once, can't remember what I was driving though! I caught it before anything happened.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

No sir, that would be an E28, bastard child of the E12 and a garden tractor, no matter what motor is under the hood.
