    Another one.

So last night I went with my dad to pick him up an e30. This is what we came back with. '91 318is

    I think a Hartge valence

    An awesomely redone cloth interior

    Ugly ass shift knob

The PO told us that he took a circular saw and did this. How the fuck can I fix that to put on atleast a stock shifter? The current one just sorta sits there.

    K&N

Anyone know what wheels these are?

Also, it has this shit alarm installed in it after someone tried to crowbar their way into the car. How can I rip that out?

The fuse for the windows blows after being in for twenty minutes or so consistently so those aren't functional now, anyone know what I can do about this?
    Otherwise the car is great.

On the list of things to be done are:
New clutch, springs/shocks, the shifter, new steering wheel, new headlights, either h4's or elips. and brakes as well as cosmetic bits like new roundels.

252K miles and still running strong. Got it for $2500.

    Questions:
How can I replace the fucked up shifter?
How can I rip out the alarm? the remotes indicate the brand as Rattler.
What can be done about the windows?

looks nice. I like it all except the schlechtwegs paket. ( the 4X4 nosebleed springs)

the shifter lever isnt really that hard to change out completely, and when you replace it, you can stick a shorter throw one in there too.

                Thanks everyone.

Yeah, I'll probably just throw a short shifter on there. About the MT1 wheel, there's one at a yard around here, if he wants too much for it, I'll probably hit you up.

There are two plastic rings at the base of your shift lever, you have to twist them 90 degrees (I forget which direction) and lift the shifter out. Mine were so old and worn I had to disconnect the output shaft from the drive shaft to get at it from underneath. So pray it comes out easier than mine.

Nice find btw, I'll deal with that Hartge kit if you don't want it ;)

Edit: A bentley manual should be able to walk you through trouble shooting the power windows. It sounds like you have some current spikes flying around in there. I have no idea where they could be coming from since I'm not intimately familiar with the e30 wiring harness. Good luck!

Nice pick up. It looks mint. Sounds like the windows have a short somewhere. Just stick a Z3 shortshifter. And those are definately ASA wheels.
