There's no need to change your mind on buying a car because a few E30 enthusiasts can't make sense of it. If it seems like a good deal, go for it. E38's are neat cars, but I imagine the jump from an E30 to an E38 will shock you in terms of maintenance costs/parts/labor. You should do what you want, but just make sure you have the dough to back that decision up.- Trey

I'd get rid of the e30 for an e28, but would most likely regret it, but that's the only car I would give the e30 up for. Except a Chevy C10, I'd get rid of it for one of those. We all got our cars we just have a soft spot for, and make sense for us. Don't let the purists talk you out of a decision. If you think its right, then go for it.

how old are you?
why not e34? they still have a little bit of soul. I just watched that epic car chase at the end of Ronin lol.
its just hard to imagine not knowing which car you like more when they are so far from each other. its not like the old e30 or e36 choice we hear so often.Last edited by T Verdier; 10-29-2008, 11:03 PM.

An E46 is old news. Ultimate poseurmobile. E9x is where it is at right now. Comes with AEs, STOCK, unlike these rolling abortions with aftermarket AEs that don't even improve the appearance of the car.
As for teenagers driving 7 series, it is because they need a place to engage in sexual congress. Where better to do so than the back of an E38 iL. An E30 is rather insufficient in this regard.-OVULATOR (as named by jflip2002)
