    My new 318i

Hey all. I picked this car up a couple of months ago and finally got around to taking some pics of it. It's a '91 318i with 260k+ on the still-functioning cluster. I paid $1100 for it and it's worth every penny. It's been extremely well maintained and other than a bad diff mount it needs nothing. It does have dents in both driver's side doors but it doesn't bother me, and if I stumble over a brilliantrot 4 door I'll address it; otherwise I think I'll just drive it and save money for the track car and cabrio.

I swapped in some fogs, US ellips with 5w 4500k HIDs, a full minty vinyl sport interior, shift knob, some weaves (with seriously undersized tires) and a crappy headunit I had sitting around. I gave it some tuneup love with plugs, oil change, a thermostat/coolant, fixed a leaky fuel line between the hardlines and the fuel rail and now I am enjoying it as a DD.

Soonish plans include an armrest and the aforementioned diff mount (both in my possession already), swapping the head unit for a better Alpine, replacing the rear bumper trim and repainting all the trim and lower panels black again, and a polish of the paint. The oxidization clearly shows that the car was repainted on the passenger fender and front door.

    Enjoy.

Have the armrest already, thanks. The wheels I got from Nomad (thanks again man!) and the tires are 185/60/14! I think they were on a Ford Fiesta or something. :) The tires are like new though and make great commuting tires. I'll worry about it when they're down to the wear bars. :D Door cards are already spoken for if I decide to trade them...they're growing on me.

          Love it.

Pretty much exactly what i'd want for a DD.

And why do i like those vinyl sports more than my leather? I dunno.

do you have a picture of your 4500 HIDs on? I'm looking for a color.

We're twins! I just got a red 325is a guy traded in at the dealer I work at. Got it for 700 plus tax, tags, title and all that jazz. On the road I spent 1060 plus I bought a bunch of maintenance stuff and a new lip. Looks good man, polish it up and get rid of those dents.
