    My new e30 - 1990 325is

    Hello all,

I signed up to r3v a couple of weeks ago, and then decided to sell my car (a Euro 4 door 1984 323i) and that's my brother's car too.

I realise that my username is now kinda redundant, but whatever.

Here's what I picked up on Monday arvo:

1990 Euro 325is manual in brilliantrot
    It has:
    - Genuine 105,000km!
    - M-Tech II kit
    - Close ratio gearbox
    - not sure what ratio, but it has an lsd
    - Maplight rear view mirror
    - 10 stacker CD player in the boot (not currently wired in P/O installed a new head unit and couldn't wire the power in to it, so I'm on the look out for an original head unit)
    - full tool kit(!)
    - Twin stainless exhaust system

It doesn't have a black headliner, or M-Tech I steering wheel (and IIRC the 325is had a 65L tank?) which leads me to believe that its a 325i, but having checked the VIN I'm told its a 325is...

Anyway I'm not really fussed, for your viewing pleasure:

The steering wheel is on the wrong side! WTF???

      :D

Great looking car! What's the thing with the cap on your driver's side? Power steering relocation due to the RHD setup?

Thats for brake fluid. Its on the opposite side to my 323i, but maybe that accounts for the much improved pedal feel (since its is on the driver's side with the brake pedal now).

I paid about the price you'd pay for a nice 325i with all these extras. In Australia thats $10,500, and I sold my 323i for $7,000.
And thats about 1 or 2k cheaper than a nice 325is, so pretty happy with that.

It has an MtechII steering wheel, however. I don't see why you're complaining.

Yep, Tech-1 and Tech-2 kits both came with de-textured valences as its plastic. the texture was rust proofing for the metal valences. im pretty sure
