    wagon updates

Axel (bavarian bimmer) and I have been pretty busy this last weekend with my touring. The main idea was to start ironing out some of the annoying bugs the car had: non working power mirrors/locks, soft suspension, and adding power windows.

But here is what we did:
-Took some parts from my parts touring:

comfort wiring harness (for power windows, locks, mirros, etc)
->sitting on BMW tool number 543325 "harness holder"

Setting it under the carpet.... GET UNDER THERE, GRRRRRRR

surprisingly, only 4 wires had to be cut

Took me a few minutes to understand how the door open relay worked (on european cars you can open and close the windows without the keys as long as one door is open)

axel installing the rear portion of the harness (for power trunk/gasdoor lock)

    This resulted in:
Operational power locks/Mirrors, and the addition of power windows (changed the door wiring harnesses too) This will later allow me to install rear power windows (a rare option in euro land) I also added the Mtech2 Wheel from my mtech2

My interior (needs some TLC badly.. will come soon)

    m50 whore shot:

And I also bought some used bilstein b6 (sports) with very little wear + the H&R 29864 from my parts wagon..

Lowered the car very little, which is great, because this thing is driven in the city and I don't have an andreNY oil pan budget.

    Future plans:
    - New driver's side fender
    - better brakes (hawk HP+ or Ferrodo ds2500)
    - New control arms (they are recent, but one balljoint already has play in it, arf)
    - Rear power windows
    - e36 rack (have one in the 318ic, I love it)
    - Fixing the slop in my windshield wipers- that's gonna be a bitch
    - Clean, dye and nourish leather
    - Lower the back end a bit, it's sitting extra thick spring pads now

Other than that, m50 is running strong with the getrag 260+ 3.64 rear diff, thinking of maybe opting for a 3.46 for better fuel efficiency.

The car is freaking awesome - but I hate the clear turn signals.

Oh how I wish we had those cars here.

Nice touring, looks like a clean m50 swap.

Any more pics of engine bay?

it's a simple relay that sits under the dashboard.. activated by the door light microswitch, can't see it as a hard thing to retrofit...
