As I was telling my buddy. My next car will be an e30 m3 for sure. I cant even imagine what the e30 m3s are like. This 325is is sooo much fun. I cant wait to do a swap ;)

That sub needs an amp. Is there one in the trunk?

That should be a SVC 4 ohm woofer. When you swap the deck, get one that has "High Pass Filter" and a subwoofer output. Any small 2 channel amp should bridge just fine on a 4 ohm woofer, then you will have separate control on the sub and be able to take the bass out of the front and rear speakers so they sound better.

Unless I am wrong, that would be an OLD (era correct) Alpine single 6X9 subwoofer...not too bad sounding, either. Not gonna rattle the 'hood, but some decent bass.

If you had bought some other deck besides Alpine, you would have high pass filters and subwoofer level controls and your car would sound far better, but oh well, you got what you liked, right?

So yeah, gonna swap out that trunk lid soon?

mine was 120 lol hahah. Theres a nice 300 dollar one from alpine actually but at first I didn't want to spend as much on the e30 but now i m only doing the best :D

I try really hard to "Brand Name Agnostic" meaning I really don't care so much about the brand, but what features it has.

Personally, I demand USB, 3 sets of pre-outs and high and low pass filters.

My dash has a Pioneer DEH-P5000u in it. Not bad, and considering it is 100% blue, it isn't horrible. If it were amber, it would be my #1 choice.

i hope you checked out the underside before you handed him the cash. That trunk and light surround make me think there are more serious problems...

Cool car, few things
- That interior isn't houndsooth it's classic 6cyl pattern,
- Check the floorboards for rust (especially the front two jack points) might be a bad surprise for you :-/
- And I understand the e46/e30 thing ;-)
