Sorry to hear about the r3v's. You guys can get that repaired. Make a trip to the yard and get pair of fenders, a hood, grills etc and get to work. Don't part.

Sorry to see that, it looks like it was pretty clean.
Don't mean to be insensitive but if you were to part it out
I'd be interested in the front valence/bumper, mirrors, rear bumper.
        And I'm local

well from what everyone is saying it looks like i will be fixing this myself, or mostly myself.
i have a set of mirrors you can come by and pick up any time. send me a pm if you want them.
so what do i need to fix the part of the car right behind the grills? there will be cutting and welding involved right?
looks like im making a trip to my local pick and pull soon. i think i will also be needing some euro grills and some smileys.

There are plenty of salvage-able core supports, etc needed for this repair at the east bay-hayward pick and pull. Off 880 and winton. You might even get lucky one day and score a fender too. I just gave away a decent hood, in alpine white.

man i hate body work! never was any good at it. maybe ill strip the stuff off this car and leave the rest to a professional. i don't even know what a core support is.

if you look at the pics you posted, its where the hinged part attaches to the radiator and two fenders by bolts at either end. right under the front edge of the hood. Its a structural piece of metal that ties the hood, fenders, headlights, front valance and bumper into a semi-solid chassis. No biggie, just sucks when even the lightest front end collision causes it to buckle ever so slightly, and throws it all outta whack..

ok. thanks for that. so that's the part that will need to be cut out and welded back into place?

NOT sure if welding is involved, better ask in the body/chassis section. The fenders "bolt on" to this area, as well as the valance....

If the area that the bumper supports is damaged, you might want to have a frame shop take care of that, otherwise bolt-on's is most of your work!

btw, the radiator and fan shrouds can be found at that same JY!

This is a sedan (4door) correct?
