Wow first productive post towards weight reduction, thanks for the heads up, but once you factor in the turn signals, trim strips, and mounting brackets, it's still about 10x heavier than my current setup and only a few pouds less than stock.

Yea no caps for weight, the fact that they fall off, and I sold them and bought some nice brake pads with the money

I've removed over 250# from the car, I can't lose that much weight. :giggle:

Indeed, I would have loved to do something like that.. However .....

#1, my budget has zero money for painting new parts on my track toy/drift beater.

#2, with my setup I can return to stock in a day should something happen, can you?

Are you using signals right now? you dont have to install signals in the new bumper, also you could install a cooling duct where the signals used to be, It looks fine with out the trim strip, make an aluminum bracket? Your car would look great if it had bumpers, since these bumpers are rubber and black you dont even need to paint them and they can take a beating and are really flexible, I have them on my car and I like em alot and they are way cheaper than OEM and wont crack if you hit something.

I was once bumperless for 3 whole days

To the OP, fuck all the haters. It's not a look I would be going for but you like it so fuck'em.
I am in the same boat with no money or a front bumper on my 88iS. Mine doesn't get driven so I guess it can sit that way for now.

Uhh, that car has had so many things done to it (rear mount turbo, custom rear windows, interior stripped, cage in process), it wouldn't matter anyway. BTW, that was done with about $100 dollars in parts.

And I thought my winter beater looked terrible.

                  Nice.

Maybe when my car is retired from punishing M3's and STI's in the hills and goes purly track, but for now, I still drive it on the sreet.

The mod kinda fell in my lap anyways, I found the aluminum for free.

That's pretty nice paint for $100, whats your secret? Did you spray it yourself?

Your hunk of garbage would not beat a STi, let alone on a hill.

With an F1 driver? Probably not, with these tools running around my hills? Every few days. We can add s2k's, EVO's, every BMW i've run across, a couple Porsches, c5 zo6, a 360 modena......

It pays to know your road and not really give a shit about the car. I can push much much harder than they are willing to.

not my style, but I can dig it...I think that black with the gold pinstripe looks worse

what do you have under the hood that beats STis?

I need that stuff for the rain and high beams are essential for the hills.

I may bore out my camshafts though, and make a custom carbon fiber m20 block, saweeeeet!
