    M3 and vert at auto-x

Had our last event of the season yesterday. I finished first in my class, 10th overall (out of 75 cars), and 2nd fastest BMW (out of 40). Not bad for a 20-year-old 4-cylinder and I broke the shift linkage on the way there and had it stuck in 2nd all day.

Buddy of mine needed to do one pass to qualify for season points so I let him take the vert out. I did one pass in it, let's just say I didn't do quite as well as I did in the M3

    Here's some pics

Guy showed up in this to watch. First one I've seen in person, I think I like it.

nice cars! We have people that show up to watch in dope cars too. Im pretty sure its just to show it off to car enthusiasts because watching autocross is boring.

I thought you needed a roll bar if you wanna auto X a vert?
Looks like you guys had fun. Let me guess jordan was the fastest BMW? (i think i see him in the background)
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I don't think there is a roll bar requirement in most forms of auto-x (this is BMWCCA). Now if you want to do DE's that's another story.

Jordan finished 41st overall and was a little more than 3 seconds behind me.

Great shots, vert looks great! Did they have any rules in order to let you run the vert without a rollbar?

I haven't tracked it yet but the guy I bought it from did a few DE's in it.
