Because that isn't how it works. You should only be using a cutting compound for your first step... 600 RPM would not remove any defects and 2500 RPM is too fast. I would suggest 1400-1800. From there you use a medium polish (3M's are sub-par) at 1400RPM and finish with a final polish (3M Ultrafina is a good one) at 1200-1400 RPM. Sometimes you can skip the middle step, sometimes you need to make multiple passes. This is just basic knowledge though. Are you using a rotary?

man well i am glad that you at least painted the grill and the trim on the DB's but i still wish they were not all blue.. that car looks like it is coming along and even though the driver side seat is a little messed up it looks alot better. now put a five speen in it haha
