    E34's do it better

Well since we got a bit of snow, I decided to take the back roads home from work this afternoon. This is one of my favorite spots, which is right by a reservoir. It doesn't have the serenity of god's country, but it is nice.

Here are the specs on the car:

    '95 Calypsorot 525iT
    S50US
    B&B Tri-Flo Exhaust
    ZF310 5-speed
    3.15LSD
    ASC+T
    15x7" Steelies
    205/65/15 Studded Nokian Hakkapeliittas
    Thule Rack

This thing is a beast in the snow, especially with the Traction Control working. It does ok in light stuff, but really succeeds in 6" or more.

Haha, it wasn't too bad. No one else was on the roads, but I nearly crashed into some trees whilst having too much speed coming down a sharp right hand turn.

Yes and yes. I just replaced the M50 with a stock S50 w/ 100K and a rebuilt head. It's a really easy swap, and the extra power makes it that much more fun. My E30 is probably better in the snow, but whatever.

I used the M50 Intake Manifold w/ the ASC Throttle body already attached to it. Just hooked everything up as it would have been with an Automatic and it worked.

Did your mom's originally have traction control with it? It shouldn't be too hard to get working if it originally came with it. If not, you may have to do a lot of wiring.

Mr. BenM, it looks quality as usual.

This car would make an excellent hauler for frequent trips to the slopes. Nothing like getting up at 6 am and heading up north with your husband, eh?

                      Thank you good sir.

Actually, I'm much too lively to be tied down with one man. Like how you like to tongue the balls of both myself and blunt.

New Haven County. Live in North Haven, work down in Stratford, and store my car's with my dads at his shop in Shelton.

Where are you out of? I remember you saying Rocky Hill a while ago right?

Yeah, its pretty chilly. Probably anywhere from Low to High 20's. Yup, the S50 makes it veryyyy fun. Makes a fantastic daily.
