My search for an iX has come to an end

    With this!

I was actively looking for a nice 325ix, and met a few nice members off this forum who had excellent examples for sale. Unfortunately some of the cars I considered weren't meant to be and were sold before I could make a concrete decision.

My waiting paid off, and I scored an excellent deal on this 88 Zinno M3. Its a good runner looking for a good freshening up. It made a cross country trip from west to east coast and arrived at my house last night. It has 3,000 miles of dirt, dust, and rain all over it from being placed on the top section of the car hauler. Unfortunately right after this pic, a big storm hit the northeast making it too cold for a wash.

I've got a lot of parts in the garage, and more on their way. I can't wait to get my hands dirty!!!

^^ Not sure how to take that, but I hope its meant in the best way possible...

I paid 7K for it. The interior has some wear, but I've got about 90% of the black interior ready to go.

To keep me busy over the winter, I'm giving the motor a fresh tune up. New Waterpump, alternator, ignition system, T-stat, belts, hoses, and radiator are all in the garage or on their way. It runs fine now, but I don't like second guessing when a certain part might fail...

Once its brought up to spec I'll send it out to be wet sanded and compounded.

After my initial plans, I'll start looking into suspension/brake/chip upgrades...

Thanks for the compliments. Once the weather lets up, I'll get it washed and post up some real pics.

I will take your back seat for the price of shipping since your switching to black. :)

Nice find, looking forward to some updates.

                    ^^^ thats the other 10% I'm missing!!!

Ideally I'd like to keep my tan interior for originality purposes in the future. The car has all matching vin tags and a clean car fax. Years from now if I decided to convert it back to stock, I'd like to have all the interior pieces in my attic.

Damn you lucky son of a bitch. Welcome to R3V. I would have said you're more than welcome to come to meets with some of us non idiotic CT E30 owners, but your M3 will make us all look bad!

                      In all seriousness, nice catch.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.
