    hi, i'm back to bmw

hello everybody i just picked up a 89(prefacelift?) 325 cabrio. if someone could clarify why it has pre facelift taillights i'd appreciate it. another question i have is since it is 88+, won't plastic bumpers fit on directly?
i had a blue 325e about 2 years ago and i'm very excited to get back into one for a project. was repainted red from it's original alpine white (correct me). 5 speed, 250k miles, engine replaced 90k ago, ratty black interior and a shot top. rust is very minimal, nothing serious. \
    comments/suggestions are welcome.
is there anything that i have to watchout for?

Cabrios did not get face-lift until 10/90 production. Late front valance and plastic bumper is a direct bolt-on fit. Rear requires some minor modification. There are some rear bumper swap threads somewhere on the forum. Good luck with your project.

e30s are like fat girls that USED to be hot, you just gotta work them out to make them hot again.

don`t forget about that pesky tow hook. Did the P/O leave the engine bay white?

organicmechanic, yes the engine bay is white.
MikeK, what are you referring to? what is 'Teh Motorsport Eta'?

motorsports, the drivedrain feels good so far. sitting 6 months, it started up with little issue. clutch, transmission and engine are ok so far. not a leak of oil from anywhere under the car.
