your car makes other delphin owners motivate themselves to fix theirs just as nice as yours. Its perfect, and i really like the bumper swap and the apron in the back with the early lights. wonderful job dude
So, would you like to see what I have been working on the past few months?

My main intention for this car is daily driver duty with the best possible ride/handling compromise. Believe me, I loved the steering feel with the THR cabs and adjustable sway bars-but it just didn't make for the most comfortable ride. Those were the only things I removed-it still has the H&R sports and Bilstein sports.
The exhaust that was on it...well if you look at the first pic I posted you can see it had a very cheap muffler and it had an aftermarket cat converter installed. It sounded loud, raspy, and it rattled terribly.
Thanks for the compliments everyone-I really do appreciate them.Eric Giles

That really is a great job! That car should be good for another 21 years at least.
BTW...do you want to sell the old front valance/sigpicComment

Eric, you need to get license plates that say "RESTO".
I just looked through your pics again. The Eurostop rear valence is so much cleaner than I ever would have thought one could come out...what did you guys do to mount it? I was thinking urethane, but was curious what you used.
I wonder what that valence would look like under tucked DBs, being that the valence is straight vs. the DBs having so much curvature...I dunno. The '87 "is" front valence is pretty straight and the front DB is so much more curved, I dunno.
I need to just pony up and buy one to try. Maybe if I get some boxes built I might have some extra coin, huh?
BTW, do me a favor and find an amp to do your thing with. I need to know what woofer is gonna go in that thing.

The Eurostop piece is actually made very well...it's not a perfect mold, but I didn't expect it to be. It took a bit of massaging to get it to fit just right, but really it wasn't a huge deal in the end.
As far as amps....what do you know about the GT-50 4 channel from Boston Acoustics? I have always loved and own their component speaker setups, but not sure who makes their amps for them. This was a $699 retail amp, but Crutchfield has a nice deal on it right now for $269. Only problem is that it is 22" long, and I didn't want a huge amp taking up a lot of trunk space.Eric Giles

It won't be installed for another month or so since the car is in winter storage. I'll provide some feedback once I get it installed if you're not in a rush to get your amp ordered. At $270 it was worth the chance that it might be junk. The 5th channel for a sub is a nice addition as well.
It's really not as large as you'd imagine from the spec's online.
Nice resto/rebuild Eric!

the BA amps sound good, but I have heard some reliability issues...nothing from anyone I trust, though.
22" length is no big deal. That will fit on the single 10 box, and I am aiming for a 4" depth at the top of the box.
