    Just bought an E30 . . . .

I own a 318ti Club Sport and have been a member of BFC for a while and finally got fed up with the DDE/I-forged/Bling-Bling/(headgasket blowing)/Auto tranny jockies. So what did I do? I bought a clean '90 (sold as a 91) diamondswarz 318is that is going to be prepared as a dual use (track/AutoX/street) car :D Only downside to the switch is that I'm going to have to let the TI go . . . :(

    Pics:

So get ready for some basic newbie E30 questions, like where to get elipsoids, filler plates, euro grills, etc. ;)

    Cheers,

    Todd

Welcome!! You'll find plenty of info here. I suggest before you post any "newb" questions, simply try out the search feature of the forums. It is more than likely that your questions have already been asked. If you searched enough and still aren't satisfied with your findings, then feel free to post.

Nice collection of cars. What's the specs on the Porsche?

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

That's my mom's beast ;) It's a 2003 996 3.6L 'base' 6 spd Carrera. The car is insane fun, and the traction is almost never ending, with 285s in the back. Fortunately, I'm allowed to drive it every now and then. Now if I can convince her to allow me to AutoX it :)

The red car is my TI. And that dirty POS (j/k) E30 is e30sd's recently resurrected ride

BTW, if you use the search feature, and it pulls up alot of topics, try using the "AND" between search words, it narrows it down alot.

LOL, I just independently came to that conclusion 5 seconds ago when I searched to see if the UUC transmission mounts from my TI would fit my 318is.

Good car to start with! I think you'll have so much more fun with the e30.

Got any other pics of the p-car? ;)

As for the info and pics of the Club Sport, here's a link to my Bimmerforums ad (and from there, my roadfly ad)

Bimmerforums is the preferred online BMW Forum and community for BMW owners. One big difference between my 318TI and the E30 318IS is the powerband. The E30 really rewards you for staying high in the revs, where the TI (because of the dual stage manifold) has a lot of midrange torque, but not much in the high rev range.

Clubsport, eh? Ti eh? Wait until Charlie sees this. He'll dig it, to say the least. If not bust one.

Good to see someone convert to the true 3 series, as the cultish E30 community thinks

What's up with all the schwartz 318is's? You know I think it's fly.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.
