It wasnt directed at you as its clear that you really understand the finer styling mods that can be done to these cars. You're correct when you say that adding different color pulls and map pockets would look "bananas". It really adds to the "presence" of these cars.

Awesome looking car! Love almost everything about it. Like others have said though, I would change the headlights and steering wheel. But hey it's your car so do whatever you want, my eyebrows are still on my car even though I get a lot of shit for it.

THANKS GUYS... fot the positive and negative feed back...i do like your eye brows Kristeun,and I did blend the color on the two consoles...so they look great even though they have a bit of a different texture....thanks again guys...the wheels are style 5...and i do have a super clean e30 "M" steering wheel but for now i just feel like rocking my MOMO...it does feel good on the hands...

And also the mold you are referring to, yes. People generally on sites have this mold that the typical car needs to look like. For example here: MtechII, BBS, 2door. VW community has the same for all their cars too...MK2 for ex: Big Bumpers, BBS, Recaro interior, etc.

Wait... those are style 5s???? You have a 5 lug swap then? They look like 17in rs's with too much convex in the weave.
Another thing, that wheel and arm rest don't really fit into the late 80s early 90s era. Just b/c it says momo doesn't really mean it looks good on every car. Have you seen some of their pedals? As crass as some of these guys can be, I agree with them... angel eyes should be period correct, I would expect a concourse winner to at least recognize that. Why not put some euro ellips. on it?

I think both communities have a sense of what works well and looks good. Like "cult classic mods". As far as different from the norm goes, there are PLENTY of people with none of the mods you've mentioned that get a great deal of respect from r3vers.
Let's be honest, BBS makes some of the best rims, Recaros actually COME in e30s, so, Mtech parts are rare and compliment the car they were designed for. If you wanted to throw a Blackline on your car, or a momo Corse, I doubt you'd get any flack. But steering wheels that look like they belong on cars from '96 and up do not match the interior of our cars. Plain and simple, we have simply designed interiors. if you start adding things with two tone metals and piping, it changes the look and makes it "busy". Angel eyes belong on newer Bimmers. Not e36s, and not e30s. They do absolutly nothing for the look of our cars.

In my opinion, this could be one of the sickest cabbies on here, screw what all of the haters have to say. They're probably jealous that they don't have your ride.

And yes, this is who my "n00bie" comment was directed at. As mentioned, when pictures are posted, you're going to get comments good or bad. The OP's cabby is very nice minus the ebay styling items such as lights and steering wheel.

This is a fairly tight knit group that, for the most part, has been together through a couple versions of what is now R3V. You may not understand but stick around, get some thicker skin, and enjoy your stay. This is a good group of guys.
