i would at least adjust the valves. The tick will most likely go away, not fully, but it will sound better. You don't want that thing breaking if its your daily. Good luck with the m50, i hope it works out better than your valence.
i am however entitled to my opinion, and by posting your car you have to hear it. it looked better when you bought it. Now it looks like ass. Sorry man. That's how I feel. Prove me wrong. And wait til tomorrow when the real beasts are up and posting. I suggest a comfortable seat. i am the nicest you will meet here.Leave a comment:

did you get your oil pan?
I am not making a personal judgement on you, I am making a judgement on your car, which I would hope you want to reflect on you. i know that's how i am with my possesions.
i never questioned your knowledge, just your approach. I am glad you could give a shit about your eta, it reflects in the way it sounds and what it sits in. One thing, why on earth would you lower a car if it is so hard to drive it where you live???? You risk an oil pan every time you leave your house. Plut the rims are going to be destroyed as well. I guess what i am saying is this, why do this stuff knowing you will just keep dumping money into repairs??? If you had just left it stock, painted the valences with the money you spento on the wheels and the suspension, you'd have a sick ass car. then we wouldn't be looking at a zip tied valence that only exists in the US on a limited amount of cars (it gets rarer by the day)
Do you see what I mean?
Understand fully. The roads arent terrible where I live. Its all the wildlife that pops out randomly (possum, racoon, deer, etc) I actually hit a cat with my velence and busted out the fog light and cracked the pass. side. I was pissed, but nothing I can do about it.
I have:
E21 Brake Booster
535i Mounts
320i Trans Mounts
E36 Mounting arms
E36 Wiring Harness
E34 Oil Pan
E34 Oil Pick Up
E34 Dipstick, w/tube
Electric Fan
E36 Radiator
and might be pieces Im missing, but im tired.
So once my buddy comes in for a visit I will paint it. Then once I get my motor in I can get summer wheels :) And yes, I think mechanically before looks. Which is why im replacing the motor before painting or better wheels. I have a deal of a life time on these borbets, and can buy them. But Id rather drive my car. I changed the oil in my car every 3k, so the motor doesnt reflect me. Then I got my M50 and started saving up since I knew that the M20 wasnt for me. Do you see what I mean?
ps-lol, I read what I wrote, and it sucks...incomplete thoughts FTW!Last edited by jeswaw; 01-07-2009, 12:49 AM.Leave a comment:

See the thing is, if they don't get a reaction out of you, they leave you alone.
Didn't you learn that in high school?Leave a comment:

And you are telling me what to do with my car
do you want me to take a 30 minute video of how to get to my house from the near-by town? And my income, as well as my family's income is something personal that shouldnt even be brought up. I dont know who you are,or who you think you are. But just because I have 10 post doesnt mean jack shit about the knowledge I have on E30's. I can honestly not care about the m20, I have everything to M50 my car, so Im more worried about that.

Well, its either it being ripped and missing half of it. I have a BBS I will put on when I paint it BULLSHIT take your skirts off then
Yes, the more I drive it the worse it gets. Thats what happens when you drive the car daily and live in the country BULLSHIT
your really not going to hurt my feelings. COOL So I hope thats not what your trying to do. NOPE My friend is holding some type-t's for me for whenever I get the money SELL THE MAXSLeave a comment:

And i totally did it on purpose to burn you. Glad to see you are having fun at your car's expense. May i suggest a more ghetto way to do it (even though it may not be possible)? Buy a honda and stop ruining what are soon to be classic cars. Do you see people with classics doing what you are doing? ever see someone with a classic actually put a set of 300 dollar rims on it? or put sideskirts on their car before they were painted? i have. they live in very low income areas, they want to fit into a "scene" and thay don't know how to restore or build a car using the right steps.
here they are (I think I have done this before)- make a list of the things you need to fix and fix them first
- make a list of upgrades and don't put them on until they match the car and are complete.
- don't skimp on lesser parts due to money. Save and search.
- Make your car how you want it, not how everyone else wants it.
