Just got my first car! 318i

Yup just picked this up yesterday after months of searching! STOKED! Its a 1984 318i (ya m10 but oh well). I picked it up for $1300 its got 136K on it, color is balticblau metallic, and its a 5 speed. Power everything except sunroof and most of it works minus the speedometer. Got a couple of dings too but oh well. Current plans are plastic bumpers, shadowline, fixing all the little things, springs and shocks to start. And eventually fixing the dings, wheels, and m50/s50 swap

I predict within the next 5 years a bone stock 318i will be harder to find then a m3 vert. I personalty would not mess with it. Or would keep everything to turn it back to stock at a later date.

Nice! Welcome to the scene... I agree w/ Mariano- it sounds like you've got your priorities in check. --> maintenance and then suspension and you'll be pleased with the car. I remember when I dropped my first e30 for the first time... you'll begin to see what all the hype is about as soon as you do suspension, even w/ the m10 in there. Drive safe!

Don't go with plastic bumpers, get euro bumpers, they look soo good on the early cars!

Nice car, get a chastity belt.

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.
