If you're scraping that front lip (not that it's a bad thing since it's a vr lip! :P) it's because your springs are too soft. Stiffen up your springs and you can go much lower without scraping.
i enjoy ride comfort too, but thanks. and the scraping is happening when i am going barely above 0 mph, so its not like the springs are compressing any significant amount when i am scraping stuff. its more turning into driveways and that kind of thing.
How big are speed humps over there?! Great wheels, killed by fender gap
I am lower with bigger lip and ive caught it twice, and only come across one speed hump I couldn't get over, but then it wasn't on a public road
In general they are not bad, but before i got the coilovers to raise the car i would bottom out on the speedbump right in front of my apartment (completely unavoidable) if someone was riding with me.
hey tom! thanks. i wish i could say i've done a lot to the car since i bought it from you, but i've only done the stereo, suspension, and wheels/tires. hopefully this summer i can get to the exhaust and the injectors/chip.
haven't had one problem with it aside from the little quirks you already know about.
The E38 wheels looks great and would look 100x better if you lowered your car more. Everyone hates speed bumps and scratching their front lip but it's sooooo worth it. Driving a lowered car is an art & a science, takes some getting used to.......do work.
