The funny thing is it was working great up until about a month ago. I have been looking on the passenger side to see where the problem is, maybe it's something bent on the driver's side causing it to be lower??

My new vert, ya, got another one (I'll post pics later today) is a '92 and has the power top. It goes up and down as it should, but it's off a little on the passenger side. When I go to put it down the driver's side goes in the boot all the way but the passenger side is still sticking up a couple inches when the boot lid goes down. This causes it to close on the driver's side but stick up a couple inches on the passenger side.
Since my other vert is manual top I'm not familiar with the workings on the power one. I'm guessing there is just something that needs adjusted to get the 2 sides in sync? Anyone have any experience with them?
Thanks and I promise to post up some pics of it later today to stay with the thread.
Considering how much fun for the dollar this car provides, I can live with it.

Ended up trading the e34 for an e30 vert. This car was another club members here in Houston. He bought it out of San Diego last year and I flew down there and drove it back for him. Been telling him I wanted it since then. He decided he needed a more family friendly car since he has young twins so we decided to trade.
Of all e30's I've had I've never had a red one (other than a calypso one), it's starting to grow on me. This is easily the nicest e30 I've ever had. The paint is great, interior is near perfect, and it drives out very smooth and tight.
It came with the factory weaves but I tossed the BBS off the black vert on it for now.
Here's a few pics, let me know what you think. First thing I'm going to do is paint the front valance back to the red it's supposed to be, next thing is to hit the trim with some SEM black since someone decided to use gloss black on it at some point. I have some Eibach springs in the garage so those may find their way on it too.

Brodee,
Nice Vert - i used to have those same BBS wheels on my old 325is sedan (now the race car in my sig).
I was looking at your gaps on the top boot. My right side gap that I refrred to in my post yesterday looks like your left side. Your top may not be folded correctly as mine looks like yours if I don't adjust the fold as the top is going down. I don't know how to explain it in words. Maybe I can shoot some photos of mine on Sat. (I am out of town now).
E30 verts are one of the best kep secrets out there.

I think I found the issue with the top. The passenger side has a bolt that works as a slider and it's broken. Some of the linkage brackets on that side are now bent because of it. I'm going to replace the bolt and straighten the brackets and see where that gets me.
