definitely try to lower your carb count if you are looking at losing a few pounds.
I retired my E30 for now...

SCCA. I'm going to take part next summer with them.

BMWCCA usually hosts Auto-X, but didn't get organized this summer. And our chapter always was just for recreation, without classes. But WindyCity (Chicago) has pretty strict class points system.....so I would be in competition with E36 M3s or even new ones.

I found out that my changing injectors to larger ones determined what class I would run in.
A lot of things could play a factor depending where you aim.

I want to lose a few pounds, but I want to keep everything the way it is, so I wouldn't be the novice without an interior........maybe when there is some experience under my belt, maybe.
Hrmm, thx for the info. I thought there would be a more intermediate level for those with turbos but looks like it would put me right in the big leagues which is not something I'd be ready for..at least without extensive other mods. Time will tell..

        It's an automatic w/ a gutted interior.

I hope a 5spd swap is the next mod.

All I meant was that if E36's and newer are gonna be in the same class that I should upgrade the 16yo chassis, etc.. I didn't mean that it's gonna make me a more skilled or faster driver... that comes from study and practice.

And yeah, the 5-speed is next...my last 3 cars have been stick and I can't stand having an autotragic.
