      Pfft, S52. Have fun dropping a valve in an S50. S52 is a much better engine.

        Stroke out an m10 to 2.2L and turbo the shit out of it. Why have a cookie cutter e30?

          ^^^^ I've got a friend with an '83 e30 (Henna too) that's going to build one out with side draft carbs. Out of all the builds going on around, I can't wait to see this one.

            It totally depends what your plans are for the car, if you want to keep it stock I'd go with the S50. Although, given the price difference between the two..you could just get a NV-M50, stroke it to a 2.9 with S50 cams and bam 2.9l "S50"..for less then a S50 is to buy.

            If you want booooooost at some point in your future absolutely I would go with a NV-M50.

            Now if your talking euro motors, well thats a whole different subject...

                That's awesome. In TX the 84 318i is emissions exempt now. I've considered finding one and putting a hot 2002 motor in it with a 304 cam, high comp pistons and some weber 45 DCOEs.

                  I have owned both motors. The S50 is obviously best revving engine.
