Whole different story and I can further clarify it via PM if you'd like.

Keeping on topic, there are many reasons why I chose this wheel/tire setup:

1-) The price agreed upon was right and I love look the wheels.
    2-) I had the 215/45/16 readily available.
3-) I wanted to stretch as much as possible know to keep the fender work to a moderate level.
4-) I don't have the power to keep anything over 235s spinning (not without serious abuse of my drivetrain)

And in the end, I wanted to do 10" wheels. Why? Well why not? It hit me at a time that I can afford it, and everyone has 9" wheels. So I wanted to do 10" just because.

But in the end, we had everything working against us. This wheel is a stepped lip, the sidewall on the DZ101 won't budge for the life of it, and 150psi being blown off a cheetah was not enough to seal the 215/45 on the wheel. I'm going to look into 225/45s now.

Cool Erick. For some reason I thought it was a lot more recent than early '07.

I say you throw some 335's on there ;).

The day I put down enough power to spin 335s, then by all means. :D

Because at that point, who cares about what I'll do to the 1/4 panel... you won't see them anyways... There'll be a permanent cloud of smoke covering it.

And if this wheel was not a stepped lip, it would've been a done deal.

so im gonna go out on a limb and say you picked up a dunlop tire sponsor?? lol

if so those better be Z1's on the front of that thing. im kinda suprised you couldnt get the 215s on the 10s. dulops run really wide too

i'd take a lighter rim with no stretch and more rubber over heavier wheels and less contact patch anyday.... but that's just me, and Ben aparently.

function>form in my book, but more power to ya

your fender's damn jacked, is that from the hammer-time to force them to fit?

you going one solid color then? abandoning the panda look?

why not do flares instead of butchering a pull?

                        You're running a 10" wheel to run a 225 section width tire?

                        I run that on a 7" wheel...

So what's the point of the extra 3 inches?
ya i really dont get it either man..
i actually like a little bit of stretch.but theres a point to were its just retarded.
that actually does look sick tho..

That fender was an abortion to begin with. My friend messed up the side of my car and pulled that fender off the junkyard. That thing had so much bondo in it already from back then it's not even funny. (It's missing a chunk if you notice)

I would go with flares, but I am not a huge fan of their look to be brutally honest. I would much rather go with M3 fenders, but that's $$$$ and even twice as hard with the four puertas.

I always keep flares as an option in the back of my mind.

As for color, I'm still keeping some black in the car, but not as much as there is currently.

Alright alright.... so after seeing how rare 225/45/16s are.... and how Dunlop does not offer that size, I really was not looking forward to driving a car that has DIREZZA on the 1/4 panel and some Falken tire right below it :p

So I decided to take a shot at the cubans at the Hialeah (immigration doesn't f*ck with Hialeah) flea market. 5 cubans and 2 cheetahs later, the 215/45/16s are mounted :D

I gotta admit.... even for me that's a LOT of stretch. Just on the sheer pain that it was to get those mounted, I will not be sliding very often on those 10" wheels. Unless it's for TV or it's straight up raining.

As soon as I get home I am going to put these suckers on! :D
