Not a bad replacement, I'd raise it a bit personally, it looks a bit low for DD standards (especially with the way that E24's/E28's have front ends that jut outwards.)

Worry about aesthetics later, get a manual swap nao.

And don't worry about PhillyG, he's a bandwagon jumper who stays on said bandwagon long past anyone else.
