    Kindershizenbraun Porsche Content--

    Hey all,

We hosted an open house/swap meet between our shop and the shop behind us today. Weather was great for it. I snapped a couple of pictures of a few cars we've put together that were on display. I also snapped a couple of pictures of my E30 and E36, which were actually drawing a good bit of a crowd out front of the shop.

'84 320i TC Baur-- We converted this to full 323i spec with rear discs, a 2.3 litre motor, and a dogleg gearbox--

'61 356B (iirc, this one was put together before my time)--

Kindershizenbraun Porsches; From the left: '75 Carrera, '74 Targa, '73 911E--

My rudimentary knowledge of German leads me to believe that that color translates to ... baby shit brown?

Yeah that's kind of the shop joke. We refer to them as that, even though they are really milk Chocolate, bitter Chocolate, and sepia brown.

We've also got a silver '76 targa, a black '84 Carrera, and a dark gray '79 911SC, so they arent all brown.

The ugly color cars are usually the ones that have been treated the best and havent been driven to death. Bright safety colors like yellow, red, and green tend to be driven harder and be spun in the rain into fence posts at least once in their life. Only a gentle old man would buy a dull color like brown and they tend to reflect that mentality.

I like the color. It reminds me of manuals for 70's audio gear for some reason.

The brown actually doesn't bother me. The Carrera looks especially good :)

Great shots man, I hate I didn't hear about this one, I'm always game for seeing some hot 70's action. I'll take the 911E (sans bumperettes,) I prefer that look to the post-'74 big bumper look that carried through the 80's.

                    Good stuff.

Trey, sorry I didnt think to mention it! I told Mitch when I talked to him yesturday, but he doesnt wake up til like 1 so the event would have been over before he could make it out. You probably would have loved the polaris 3.0CS we had out there too. Mint car.. it was at V @ V last year.
