Thanks for the compliments guys.
Well, there was one thing I forgot to mention...

the m42 that was in there died. So since the alpine is getting a 24 valve, the m20 in it was in great shape with lots of records - so we dropped it in the 318is.
brandon11130 loved the service records so much that he...

So to answer your question, the stromung is for an m20, AND IT SOUNDS GREAT!!! I love it. I've always wanted one and I found it on a parts car I picked up - owner had no idea what he had.
Thanks. Still have it!
ahh, it's fixed now ya waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles! just needs paint :D
The car is extremely clean but did have a couple isolated spots of rust... so e30this and myself took care of it. Only spot left is rear valence opposite exhaust and then it will be back to perfect. Will be taken care of once weather breaks in the next couple weeks.
Needs an s50 like yours though, always loved your car...
It's too cold out! They are nice wheels though
No rods, but everything else. All bearings, bolts, gaskets, high comp pistons, stage 2 head, bimmerworld cam kit and tune. Motor should be done in about 2 weeks
edit: Here is a picture of the alpine in the background, sitting motorless in the garage.

Anybody intersted in a 97 Katana 600 with only 6.7k miles? New tires and battery... great first bike!Last edited by MIKe30; 02-22-2009, 06:51 PM.

yup, my little brother did most of it - took us almost 2 fully days. A LOT of time has been put into this car.
Pay for our flight to CA, and we'll pay for materials and do it for free - including your entire interior ;)

Thanks. Its cool, I don't mind criticism. I sometimes even like it. ;) I actually HATED the wheels the first time I saw them (at a meet a year before the alpine was mine). Since then they've certainly grown on me. I love them. I have actually gotten a lot of pm's asking about them, offers on them, or just compliments on them. Kinda cool. I have NEVER seen another set ever, let alone for sale or on another e30. A well known friend on here claims to have seen a set on ebay that he missed a long time ago (almost went on his alpine/cardinal like mine - PHEW!) :D
I will try to dig up some more pics of them. They look a little more flattering on the alpine.
you're not kidding! No, the tails, wheels, suspension, headlights, exhaust, and interior are all staying on there. The smoked mhw's look better on b-rot, the alpine has an e30m3 5 lug waiting for it, the frenchies will stay for now, and the exhaust should probably stay with an m20. Alpine has a clean cardinal interior so that wont be going in there either. In fact I think the houndstooth would be an ugly combo for the alpine!
Any interest in this car if i sell it? I'm looking to pick up another bike in the next week or so. I want to finish my motor and pick up the bike, AND keep my current bike if i can... but i'm not loaded by any means sooo....
If anyone has any interest in this car, my bike, or perhaps the wheels/gc coilover combo I'll entertain some pm's. I'll never take a lowball offer, and to be honest I'd probably only take a top dollar offer. Way too much time put into this car, and a lot of REALLY rare parts - namely the wheels and exhaust.

thanks chameleon.
They are Ronal LS weaves... the older generation Ronal LS weaves. They are stamped "made in germany", and I have never seen another set ever. I actually just decided to put them up for sale with my GC coilovers that are paired with re-valved bilstein sports, already in modified strut housings.
I'm making a listing now for that, and a complete e30m3 5-lug set up. I will keep whichever doesn't sell first.
