I am giving a special preview to my R3V Bretheren...
You all have seen the keg carrier mod I made to my wagon...

With the E30 having her first track experience this past weekend...I had purchased some more suitable footware for her in the form of some RA1's mounted on a set of 15's. I got them as a set of 6 from a friend who is a SpecE30 Racer.
Seeing as my wife was getting tired of having these wheels and the other 4 that I am storing for a friend, sitting in our dinning room...she suggested I get a tire rack to put in the garage on the wall...where they would be out of the way. Being the frugal E30 owner that I am...and keeping in mind the amount of money we had put into the track weekend...I was determined to find a cheaper solution.
It just so happened that we bought a new bed for our bedroom. It was a birthday gift for my wife. So, we now have this old king sized bed frame that needs to go to goodwill...or the scrap yard. I am thinking...hmmmmm???
So, I lay it out on the garage floor...this just might work!

Some measuring and cutting...and you start to see the general idea...

The wife laughed at my idea...and took my picture while I worked.

Assembled (mostly)...and holding tires. I left two of the legs on the frame because it reminds me of what it was originally...and it saved 2 cuts.

All that is left is to pull it all back apart, clean it up and spray it. I think I am going to spray it with black Plasti Dip. This should be durable enough. Then I will mount it to the wall...and the RA1's will have a new home.
I will post up more pics as the project continues...but I thought you all would appreciate the progress thus far!
In theory...this should have an out of pocket expense of less than $30.
