Thanks reap3r!
Thanks man, I love your Touring. When I was looking for the right E30, I wanted a Touring so bad I could taste it, but there weren't any to be had here in the States.
To be sure, the black wheels add a bit of a punk ass attitude to the car, but it kind of goes along with its loudish, burbling/rumbling character. For now I am enjoying it. I used to have HREs with a polished outer on my M3, and every time I went to wash the car I spent anywhere from an extra hour, to an extra few hours polishing and treating the outers with product to get them to look their best. With the matte LTW5s, I wash them. I don't even need to dry them because they won't show water spots, but I do anyway out of habit, and because I get meticulous when I clean. The ease of maintenance is a really nice novelty for me.
D-Force makes the same wheel in painted silver, and I might go with those for the summer tires, and remand these black ones to winter duty, but for now I am enjoying the all-black thing. :)Leave a comment:

Somebody asked about the wheels I am running. They are D-Force LTW5 Spec E30 race wheels, also available in silver, but I don't know exactly what they cost. It was all rolled into my final bill from ACE/D-Force. I can tell you my tire size: 225/50/15
BOOYA!!!! I told you I'd do it! I told you! I remember sitting at the pool, looking around that insanely beautiful garden of yours, talking about how heaven forbid anything cataclysmic ever happened to the M3, I wouldn't want another E36. Any other E36 would have been a cut-rate consolation prize and I wasn't having it.Holy shit man!!! That car look fucking devious!! Im proud of you, my son! Now you have to bring it out here for Bfest!! You are at least attending this year right? Flying out?? I knew you would never forget the promise you had made. How you been, other than that?? We should talk man! Shadowline that bitch! "Contrast" is a futile endeavor at this point. Finish it off. In that case and in that logic I should finish my ///M3's window trim in aluminum because that car is all black and no one seems to complain about the contrast there! I truly hope now that you will be a regular member here and visit us consistently and frequently. Itd be great to have you on here as a regular.

Shadowline will happen. It just wasn't a priority to get rolling, and it doesn't offend me the way it is right now, for some reason. But it will happen. I've been dealing with a few challenges recently, and they required that I cut the build time short on the car and pull it away from the shop and start driving it prematurely, but the important thing is that, mechanically, it is sound. Very sound.
While I will not be changing the suspension to go lower any time soon, as ride comfort means more to me than the "slammed" aesthetic, at some point the car will require wheels. Vlad had a set for sale this summer that showed me exactly what I wanted for the car, when it is time, it will just be a matter of finding the right set, and then having them refinished to look how I want. They will end up breaking up the "murdered out" look of the car, but they will also give it the more stately look that I want for the long term.

I cannot come out this year, but I will be back again soon. Family responsibilities will keep me planted for a while. But you can bet that I will be back soon enough. :D
Good stuff man. I'm glad you finally saw the thread!Last edited by C-T; 03-17-2009, 06:02 PM.Leave a comment:

Oh yeah and I know about the wheel hp and crank hp on the Dynapack. I got 245.2 on the Dynapack.

That is one SICK torque curve. I bet that feels ridiculous to drive, pulls at all rpm. Jealous.Leave a comment:
