Thanks for the comments! Im not sure where that M badge came from but its coming off. The rear seat is a problem but 1st im going to mod the vert top motor as described in http://www.e30ic.com/powertop.htm. The top works great but im not taking any chances.

I am enjoying having a vert. I totally recommend it. :)

Awesome find. Two very rare colors, atleast in the States. Now we just need some pics with the top up.

The weather forecast calls for rain from now through the weekend. Ive had it for almost 2 weeks and its either raining or arse cold. Im gonna be taking some better pix as soon as the sun comes back out and have time. At least this gives me time to test out my new car cover.

What did you use to freshen the interior?

Let me know how the top motor reinforcement works out. I have a bad motor and will be doing this as well at some point. So I am interested in A: Time it takes to ship and recieve. B> Quality of part.
If the armature has not broken off of the mounting point I dont see any reason to perform this modification. Its alot of work for a top motor that works. I have no choice as mine is broken. This issue only occurs when someone stops the opening or closing cycle in "mid stream" and then tries to restart the process. So as long as you keep the button pressed to lower and raise till the end of the sequences - i.e. top flap opening top lowering etc. you should be fine.

All the vinyl was washed with a very small amount of dishsoap in warm water. Then, I used toothbrushes, toothpicks, and q-tips on most everything plastic and started scrubbing. I even used it on the steering wheel and shifter which are leather (this proved to be gross.) Nastiness was just caked on. I couldn't believe how may terry cloths I went thru to clean this. Thank goodness I had a pile of clean ones.

The leather was treated with Lexol products. First the cleaner, then the conditioner. I was pleased with their products. they did come clean and they dont feel like cardboard anymore.

I did use Lexol vinyl cleaner/conditioner on the rest of the plastics.

Then you should be the test subject.:p I just got an email back from the guy an it came out the $172 shipped. Its on the top of my list. Im trying to be proactive about the mount. If it breaks while in motion, it may break other parts in the process, like a $600 motor. Im not sure about you but I have to stop midway to fold some of the top and also put a towel in between the plastic window.

Thats a hard one. All by blood, sweat, and tears in in my coupe. I might have my bro drive one there but not sure yet. But I will be there in something cool.
