I'm using the M44 tranny, and yes the gears are SHORT. 5th is 1:1, so it's like driving a stock E30 325i/iS in 4th all the time. Makes for crazy torque to the ground though, most recently I pulled a B5 S4 (250hp TT one) on the highway. Top speed is only 130mph, but it gets there in a serious hurry. A few Honda buddies are heading to the drag strip next weekend, I just might tag along out of curiosity.
