Got my 2nd muffler and iS lip installed, took some pics

Man I love how it turned out. I'm totally bringing diving boards back. I'm not even going to tuck them. Other than polishing up the oxidized fender I'm not touching it.

    EDIT: booty shot for Nick:

    All hail the Holy E30

I love this shop, the guys are so cool and the projects they have going on there at any given time will tickle any car guy fancy:

Yeah man these guys are truly artists. Damn cheap for the kind of skill you get. This is what they normally do (I don't have pics of it but last time I was there they had a 1959 Corvette that they restored for a guy and put in a full C6 Z06 drivetrain into it):

The mods today totalled a bit over 400 but that includes the muffler splicing, mounting the lip and alignment. Originally the exhaust cost me over a grand because it's all stainless and it took them a while. Mainly because they had to remove the rear exhaust manifold to cut it up and reposition it so it would point back and not at the subframe - now I can actually remove my exhaust without jacking up the engine.

Video's coming, I gotta go break in my RX7 rotors so I can make them ready for the HT10 pads. It sounds absolutely wicked. It's still loud but quiet enough for racetracks and the edge off the sound is gone - it's no longer raspy, mainly lower frequencies now.

Thanks dude! Well they were clearly "in" in the 80's. Then they were unpopular in the 90s. I'm declaring them in again in 2000s.

looks good dude. I wanna say you got an alignment too but I dont see the sensor pads that go on the mounts attached to your wheels...

Thanks man! Shot shortly before he put 'em on. EDIT: sorry just realized I don't really know what you mean.. in the pic after the one in the air, the alignment jigs are on the wheels.

Thanks again guys! Took it out for a short test today to get the feel for the exhaust note. Nothing too crazy, just some half throttle runs to 5k, where it used to get really loud and raspy. Sounds PERFECT now. Really mean but the edge off the sound is gone, and so is the rasp. Will have video later tonight. I'm totally geeking over my brick.

I will I promise. :) Well I actually haven't washed it even once since I got it lol! Dirt is nature's sunscreen! Part of me wants to do a respray, fill in some dings and dents it has from the 400k on the shell. But I don't think I can bring myself to spend so much money on this car which doesn't result in making it more fun.

Yeah and it's got over 400k KMs on it too. Gotta thank Vancouver for being easy on their automobiles.

Nothing exciting, just a quick sound check. Will get one at WOT redline later when I get my friend over with a DB meter. But I'm really happy with this. It still sounds mean but the rev ranges (around 2 and around 4k) where it used to resonate and rasp badly are gone. The sound itself is just a bit quieter and lower frequency. I think it should now pass the sound check. I'm sure it'll at least be close so I can short shift only a little by the DB meter (before I don't think they'd even let me out of the paddock at Tremblant).
