    What's goin on?

Hey guys, I've been lurkin' for a while, figured I would finally introduce myself.
I've been dying to get a project car for a while now, and 2 days before I left to study in Belgium (about 2 months ago now) I came across an 87' 325is for sale in my area, no motor, just a shell. It was 200 dollars, and I have no delusions, it's a rusty POS. BUT - i love it. :) I can't wait to get back and start the build, and a hell of a build it's going to be.

As of now, a general outline of the build:
    a) tear it down, get rid of all the rust, take care of the whole in the floorpan behind the passenger front wheel
b)rebuild suspension, from the ground up, if i can piece together a 5 lug swap, I would love to
c)paint her black and drop in the motor
d)piece together a black interior, fix the cracked dash- (I'm going to bondo the crack shut and put black suede on the dash, a-frame, and roof liner)

    Thoughts? Opinions?

+1 on parts car. Im sure you can find a running car for a bit more. Welcome to the e30 crowd.

If it will require that much work to fix the rust, then I agree-parts car. Don't waste all your time and money on this one. Find a better shell and use what you can off of this one. And as was mentioned, this isn't an '89-it's and '87.

And why is it the majority of beaten up, abandoned, cheap E30's are Delphin?

hmm... Well, I guess I'll start hunting. The owner is going to take a look this weekend for me when he goes to attach the front sub-frame. If it's terrible I guess I'll start hunting for another... kinda feel like a dick though, I told him I'd buy it 2 months ago haha.

Ha, I've been a couple of times this semester, cool city. There is a possibility that I might head down that way on Sunday this week when we get back from Bastogne and Luxembourg actually..
