Question: Is there a non re-usable nut on there or can you reuse it and there has got to be a torque for that stuff.
How did you go about learning all that?
do you think i should clear them or just leave them like that and just keep up on them?
dont clear them. they will be high maintenance to keep them nice but they look much nicer without the clear. be careful what you use to clean them and avoid cleaners other than mild soap. also, i wouldnt put anything on them when theyre hot. dont let them water spot either.
and finally, dont tell george shit. if you give him one tip he will flood your inbox like a bot selling cialas and dick enlargement cream
I agree with Blunt. Don't clear them, but be ready to wash them often with mild soap and a mit, and spend 10 minutes per wheel polishing them with a compound such as Autosol.
When doing wheels like that, I use a chemical stripper and gently brush the peeling clear. Wash them with water and start wet sanding with different grits, up to 1200. Avoid using a coarse grit if you don't have to. Start with the finest grit that the lips' condition allows. Than use Autosol for a final buff. Autosol is a fantastic German product that can be found locally, mostly motorcycle shops.

i was planning on using all the old hardware and then torque'in it to specs
They look good. But they could look a lot better if you wet sanded them with like 600 then 1500 and then 2000 and polished them with some mothers.
thats exactly what i did to them. but like i said, they arent done yet. im going to hit them with rouge from my wifes place and finish them. they dont photograph well either. they look nicer in person. the only thing i dont like is the bolts. but im going with them. new stainless bolts are fucking expensive and i need to buy tires for these fuckers yet
