I think I paid $1,270 including shipping. It was a chunk by most R3ver's standards, but I try not to be cheap and I had been looking for an E30 M3 suspension for months. Yes, one strut was bent. I bought two good used stock struts from Carl (Hugh Jass) to run instead of those for now. I've finally gotten around to messing with the bent housing. I'm pressing/welding a straight standard E30 tube into the spindle section then cutting the perch and tube length to match the other side so that I can run coilovers on that set. I cant bring myself to cut up my nice stock spring perches with the cost of these things getting ever closer to $1,000 per side..
Check out the green color on Mikeedler's car in this thread. Also, search for some other old threads of his (before the car turned orange) because there are some much better pictures of the green in the sunlight. I'm just a bit lazy to track all of those down, but trust me, they are worth it if you are thinking green. I personally would either go with that color or the orange he changed it to if I were doing a color change on an M3..

ha im down. execpt no red for me.I read a bunch of it, but missed the part about exactly which setup you were going to run. I didnt know if it was an E36 M3/ti setup or the E30 M3.
Not crapping on the thread at all, just thought it was odd to know I've got the suspension from that poor car scattered around the garage. Wish I could have picked up the whole chassis back then too, but it would have been a lot of hassle with shipping for a stripped chassis.
I'm with MR 325 on this one, glad to see you are bringing it back to life.
Ha, if we work together, the 3 of us can rebuild the thing to exactly how it was when David had it.Leave a comment:
