Noob to the forum, but e30 passionate since 2003 when i got my first one. Last week I picked up a 91 convertible with an m42 engine so me and my kiddo can bring it back to glory...first item on the list, fix the Crankcase Ventilation system because previous owner just capped everyhing off or routed hoses and attached them together randomly and now the oil is leaking everywhere as expected. I figured its gonna be the easiest task, route the hoses, replace the valve, and walla!. Nope...day 3 I am trying to hunt down all the hoses needed and I have only managed to source one single Vent hose (the most obvious one leading from the valve cover down under the intake manifold), but from there it couples off in different directions etc etc. I cant find a single diagram of the CCV system anywhere, including realoem.com.
Figured the community would surely have some guidance for me. Maybe the previous owner had 0 clue what he was doing and im staring at something that shouldnt even be in this engine bay? Anyway my goal is to replace every single hose in this engine bay, both for emissions/vacuum, and coolant. Coolant hose kit readily available from FCP and ECS, etc. But only a single vent hose is listed for this car on the entire internet. Not even all the modern chatbots can help me figure it out...
