long time again, not a whole lot goin on.

i drive the coupe from time to time to keep it up. the external Oil Pres gauge is gone, i ran some seafoam in the oil which cleared up alot of sludge. would drive it more but i still need to quiet it down so its bearable. Im workin on finding a matching set of locks for it as i only have a key for the ignition. still need to get a good adjustment on the sunroof to try to keep water out.

Ive got my m20b25 up on an engine stand and am getting to the parts i will replace before i pull the 3.0 out of the convertible and inser the 2.5 in. shouldnt be too much longer before i start swap #1 as im back at work and will be getting some + funds probably by february at the latest. ( i owe myself some money)

        Update:

working on getting my spare engine ready to go into the convertible. once that is ready and the coupe has proven to be water tight it will become my main source of transportation. I plan on swapping the exhaust from the convertible over to the coupe, as well as the wheels/tires, so it will be a fairly reliable daily driver. Hopefully i can start on it this weekend.

Thanks for this, gives me an idea of how to shadowline due to your thread and posting the other person's link. Also, my headliner was falling down on my hardtop so the contact cement is a good solution. Good job on your car by the way!

Been a long time since i updated.

I have succesfully completed the m20b25 swap into the convertible, no drama there (if you dont count the need to replace the oil pan gasket). runs fine but i miss the power.

So with the stroker up on the stand i tore it down to just the bare engine. cleaned the block sand blasted all the parts i could get off the engine. painted everything but the pan and the head black. installed some ebay headers that i was sure wouldnt fit, i was wrong. Got a butload of new parts from Blunt, seriously if you havent started to order your parts from blunt you need to. Great service, hes trusting enough that if you need the parts asap hell send them before he bills you (though i assume you have to earn that trust).

Yesterday i finally finished pulling the eta engine out of the coupe, all i had left was the actual pulling of the engine. I have an e36 rack to put in that i cleaned up and put new tie rods on. I have AKGs kit ready and waiting. (This is the next step in the swap) Cleanup and Rack swap are first to come.

I have worked out a deal with rThor to buy his spare dogleg 5 speed, i figured i would have my 260 rebuilt for 600 so why not spend the little extra on something unique. This also means for now i can keep my 2.93:1 until i can afford a 3.25:1 since 5th on the dogleg is 1:1.

The engine is almost ready to go in once i get the trans here i will clean it up and freshen it up as needed. then i can work on the install process, get me a war chip and fire her up.
