I'd really like to adapt it to the M50, but I think that can and should be done another time. Sending PM.

I brought the flywheel to a machine shop today (in my backpack, taking the bus across town after class) and ordered some parts. The spider hose is in really good condition... except the coolant reservoir end was cut during removal. Ugh. $44 for another one (thanks IMC).

Paid $100 for flywheel lightening and balancing, I'm guessing it'll get down to about 12lbs. Should be noticeable at least. Anyone know the spec of the nuts that secure the top of the motor mounts? Someone neglected to put them on my car.

      Today

      AKG delrin shift carrier bushings

These took SO much play out of the linkage, probably about 90% of the play.

      Put the new rack in

Dropped it down on the new suspension

It seemed like the CABs froze on the control arms in this position, doesn't look good, but it's better than nothing.

Oil pump nut looks good but I forgot the loctite, so we hold back.

After some brakekleen and a razor blade it's almost ready for a new gasket

My ugly mug, obligatory engine swap pic

      Lightened flywheel, 12.5lbs

      Old water pump and shit

      Probably going back tomorrow

Are you sure those aren't just offset CABs?

They're offset CABs, but they didn't hammer all the way onto the control arms. It was a bitch and a half to get the driver's side lollipop mounted and I still don't have the passenger's side done yet, I think I need a new bolt as I've mangled up the threads pretty good.

Use dish soap to slide the arm through.

Only thing I had was motor oil :( used that instead. Probably not the best for the materials but it was all I had.

The casino bus that I've been taking to where the car is was full on Saturday, so I've got no updates.

No worries though, gives me a little more time to gather info and some bolts here and there before I put the motor back in.
