With the weird curve on one end, it is impossible to get the top spring perch on to that end. So we opted to try it the other way around. I don't see why the curve is there to begin with. If they are correctly placed on the dry fit pictures, you can see that the markings are upside down.

Update:
Contacted Vogtland with part numbers and questions to find out they shipped me the wrong springs. Today was not a total waste as Philo and I got out and stitched up most everything else possible without proper springs. No word yet on a time table for reshipment but Im expecting a call back anytime.
Out with the old
in with the new
Little ways from done.
Many many thanks to Tim (Philo). great help running through my first suspension upgrade.
Will update as soon as I get word from the spring company.
Thanks~Late model granitesilber 325i convertible FS:

annddd yes, there is an update!
Got around this morning after a busy ass work week (I run Fri-Tues). And decided to work without springs and get some odd stuff that I needed done done. Pulled out the front fascia from the mtech II kit that needed some TLC and paint and decided to work it over. As such,
half way thru
gnarly bit of prior damage I went about fixing till entire replacement next year.
then, part way through that, Vogtland decided to let these show up (after 1.5 weeks )
at least they look a little more appropriate! :D
so i stitched up what i was doing there, (another good bit)
and started finishing these for paint!
almost done~
same with these:
... then packed up the bodywork and paint shit and headed to the garage.
and this happened
(look in back) proper fitting springs ftw!
got excited and took pics before complete installation. this is what it looked like a few minutes ago.
So, rears are practically finsished. didnt plan on doing this today and im stopping for the evening and going to finish tomorrow, and depending on humidity levels and rain %'s.. maybe paint! ^^
Thanks for the bumps fellows.Late model granitesilber 325i convertible FS:
