Yeah, that's not done yet. I'll continue adding to this thread for what I call "phase 3" of the project: the entire interior restoration. Kevin Chinn from Creative Options is making my headliner right now, and I should have it in a couple weeks. I already have all the upholstery for the seats from him, just need to install.

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to all you guys who got me the parts I needed to get this car to where it is... for good prices too. Can't even name all of you who helped with opinions, advice, and instruction when in a jam.

Well it's been awhile... sorry for the delay I've been busy.. Have a baby boy on the way so just bought a new bigger house and moved in, and just picked up a 01 X5 3.0 for my wife... she insists the 328ic is not conducive to baby seats. Heres a couple pics of the Alpine White III vehicles. E30 is safely stowed in the garage...

So the paint is holding up pretty good. I have a couple nicks from stones in the front facia but not bad.

So on the Phase III of the project, the entire interior. As I said before I bought the entire kit from Kevin at Creative Options. A matching suede headliner for the hardtop is being made now.
Here is how it looks now.

Pulling seats right now... Will keep you updated on the progress!

nice. waiting patiently on headliner install. Did the headliner pull out easily around the back window? Or was it sandwhiched between the glass and rubber surround?

The headliner was a little difficult to remove because I did not want to damage or stretch it, because I had to send it to Kevin to use as a template. I was able to work it out from around the window, it was just glued on wrapping around the edge... wasn't pinched in the rubber or glass or anything.

you were quite lucky, cause they staple the corners near the side and the pinch weld is kind of around the same area, when I cracked my rear windshield due to utter stupidity, also removed my headliner, but was part of the pinch weld in alot of places. as in underneath it.
