No, I don't think we could because I have very little patience for people as stupid as you. I wanted more power so I swapped in a motor capable of making it because it seemed a logical choice. Something you have no concept of. I also measure shit before I build it because Norm Abrams taught me to "Measure twice, cut once" when I was four years old. You know what? The dude was right, when you measure shit before you cut it, it fits!

They are. They're 20 years old. One is getting new paint, a new motor, new suspension, new brakes and a new interior so at least it will be a refreshed shitbox but still, the sentiment stands...

Well, if you look at it like that, then in 20 years the new m3 will be a shit box. Even if you never put a mile on it. Its more a personal view. I happen to like my cars. Mk1 jetta coupe and e30, to some shitboxes, but not to me. When I go from the e30 to my friends e46 I feel like I lose a connection with the road. Newer cars don't seem to have the same connection, and I like that in my cars. So it really comes down to what you qualify as NOT a shit box.

I never said E30s being shitboxes was a BAD thing... :p Driving feel is huge, that why I have coilovers, big brakes, an E36 M3 steering rack and an S50 in my good car. (Or had/will have if you want to nitpick...) The point is it's still a 20 year old car and there a lot of nicer, newer cars out there. Would I rather have one of those though? Only in a few very select cases...

i don't think anyone gets what my ultimate goal is

my goal is to see what an m20 can do in its ultimate form. not to get the most power but to get the most power from an m20 for road course use. i know there are better motors out there but i wanna see what an m20 can do. simple as that.
