Of course. I have a completly different turbo and will be running 42lbs injectors. Its just the kick in the right direction I'm after. Throw it up when ever, i have about 4 months before I'll be at the tuning stage
Engine bay is looking very neat now.Leave a comment:

LOL, why thank you... I think.
I will post msq if you like... would be glad to help out. It should give you a good starting point, but of course with megasquirt every engine is different.Love it, great to see dannys kit living on. I eagerly await your dyno session! I'm glad to see you having such success with a similar setup to what im going to embark on in a month or two.
I have a baby gt2560r and a spare m42 that will be getting a freshen up :) Have you posted your msq file anywhere? or would mind sharing?
pm me if you like
UPDATE:
DONE!!! Just have to put the hood back on and work another solution for the wastegate actuator. Danny had it kind of ghetto (sorry man) rigged on there and it broke finally. Going to have some mounts welded on to mount it properly.
Heat coating color is a little iffy... but hey I can definitely live with it if it reduces underhood heat. Everything went back together fairly well, though the turbo manifold bolts are a PITA to reach and torque down.

I even managed to reuse the stock under engine tray/shield/splashguard. Very happy with it, now I can concentrate on getting the tune dialed in. Dyno time will be forthcoming... probably in Houston though as I'm not sure I trust anyone here with the megasquirt. We'll see, I might just not know the right guys.Last edited by Schnitzer318is; 09-18-2009, 07:44 PM.Leave a comment:

Took the hot side of turbo, the turbo manifold, and the downpipe to get hot coated yesterday. Can't wait to get them back so I can put my hood on. It got so hot under there I didn't want to put the hood on even though Danny said he had no issues.
Did LOTS of work in prep for the car show this Sunday. The wife was kind enough to detail the engine bay for me, and I touched up the paint in areas that were too worn. Made a couple of fiberglass gauge holders. The top one I wanted angled more towards the driver for easier reading, and the bottom one I wanted something that looked less ricer than the pillar pod that I had before. Also rewired my Efan and rear flashing LEDs to the two rocker switches on the bottom panel. Now I can turn on my efan even when the car is off... big help with the turbo.
On to the pictars... I wish I had another fabric to cover the fiberglass panels in, but for now speaker box carpet will have to do. It looks pretty good actually, but will be replaced later with something a bit more OEM looking if possible.

And lastly the new fuse box cover label I picked up here in the group buy section. Looks great, and couldn't be happier with it.Leave a comment:

Update:
Got the "new" tuning laptop from my buddy... woah, way better for tuning. No more hangups or corrupted files/tunes.
Anyway so I've got her running pretty damn well after warmup. I mean it could definitely find some more hp on a dyno, but it is VERY driveable. Takes a good 5 minutes to warmup though since I am working with no ICV atm. But got her all dialed in for 11psi today. :) It is hella more fun now. I'm probably at the limit of my injectors now, but I'll stick at 11psi as I shouldn't have to worry about head gaskets.
estimated power at the wheels currently: 190ish.
Taking it apart tonight to take the hot side of turbo, turbo manifold, and downpipe for hot coating. While everything is out I am going to detail the engine bay around it to get the car ready for a show next weekend.
More updates with pics will come when the parts arrive back from the coaters.Leave a comment:

Thanks...
Yep, as Danny said... stock 10:1 CR
Hit a brick wall as the laptop I've been using was taken by my dad on a trip. That's alright though, a buddy has one with a serial cable input so I won't have to use the damn USB-Serial adapter anymore. Tunerstudio and the laptop didn't like the drivers... would hang every now and then, corrupting my tunes and my MS.
At least this way I don't have to drive the laptop back to my dad's place everytime he wants to use it.Leave a comment:

Did some aesthetic mods... I think it looks alot better. Repainted the intake mani and polished the fins, then did the spark plug cover. When the turbo and other parts come off for coating, I am going to do the cam cover in black crinkle coat. Should looks quite nice I think.

Got a semi warm start for you guys to check out. Shows how everything is routed and running as well. I need to get some sort of in car mount for driving vids. Let me know what you think. I have since tuned the PWM idle control a bit so I have a much better start and idle, but I thought you guys would want to check out the vid just the same.
