Thanks, but I can't take too much credit. I've just been sticking to the classics. Nothing too risky here.

911 looks as clean as your m3 well done.

also where is this heavenly place
    Thank you!

Unfortunately that wasn't me. I sold the M3 and it was far from gorgeous. Your 318is, however, is looking great from what I've seen in your threads. I should actually take the "Albany" out of my information. I have a garage out there where the cars winter and spend some time since I don't have enough space at home in MA. Most of my summer driving is in MA.

That heavenly place is VSR in Bow, NH.

INMO Gold doesn't look that great on silver. BBS's in gold is classic on white, red, and black, but not much else.

the red would compliment the pizaz of the RS bumpers and bring just enough flare while not looking too showy.

I think you should do silver if you want to change the wheel color.
I have to agree and disagree.

I agree that the red would look good with the silver and would add pizaz, but it is a bit too adventurous for me. If they were green like your M-System, I definitely would build them up and give them a shot. I am a big fan of green.

I disagree about the gold. I know that it is not everybody's taste, but IMO BBS gold looks great with almost all colors.

    Thanks for the compliment.

I am adding .5" to the lip and .5" to the barrel of the 8" et11 to get 9" et11. The 8 currently has a 2" lip and a 5.5" barrel.

I will be doing all new 17" lips and barrels on all 4 16" centers.

    very nice car.

just an FYI, if you add 1" to the width of the rear RSs with wider lips, the offset will no longer be the original et11, it would be et-1.

Your E30 is looking fantastic by the way.

I have a very minor update since it is winter and the 911 is sitting in the garage with the battery out.

I picked up a nice pair of original 16x7 Fuchs wheels to replace the 16x6's up front and had them color matched and mounted. I got them for just over $100 a piece shipped.

It turns out that I already have 16x8's on the rear so I figured that there is no reason to spend big money on a pair of 16x9's. I plan on using a small spacer on the rear so that they sit a bit more even with the fronts.

As you can see the new fronts do a better job filling the wheel wells.

I apologize for the bad pictures. That is a s far as I wanted to push the car out of the garage.

I also picked up a cheap set of BBS RS to mix things up.
They are currently 16x7 et23 front and 16x8 et11 rear. I plan on getting 17" lips (1" up front and 2.5" rear) and barrels and stripping the centers and repainting them the original BBS gold. It is unfortunate that someone painted these red. The gold looked like it was in pretty good shape in the few areas that the red had flaked off. The final outcome will be 17x7 et23 and 17x9 et11.

Thanks guys. I got it back just in time to put it away for the winter. Wheels and some tweaking next year maybe.
