Wishno's winter beater project thread(+misc vert action)
You sir, need to replace some seals. I couldnt work in those conditions. Pull off that oil filter housing and reseal it like now! haha, looks good though! Gradual love is a good thing. I ignore mine as well, until it whines like a starving child.
Why only the one pulley? Why not do the set?
I was waiting for someone to comment on that lol. Ya its the OFH that is leaking but I replaced the profile gasket when I put the motor in and it has always leaked. I will be pulling it for rear sump this summer though so it will get cleaned up and resealed then. It didn't get bad till the last few months so I'm not really sure what happened. Still don't leave messes where I park so thats good I guess. The pulley is an 8% overdrive not an underdrive pulley set. I got a new belt though but it just used the stock size. I have been going without a fan since around september so I figured it couldn't hurt. Probably have to wire one up in a few months though.

During school my cars usually go largely neglected but the water pump started making some horrible noises so I had to give it some attention.
At first I thought it was the old mechanical chain tensioner so I changed that out for a new hydraulic unit but the noise still persisted. Then I noticed a decent amount of play in the water pump shaft so it was obvious what the culprit was. I already had a metal impeller unit but the bearings were shot.
I ordered a new water pump with a cast metal impeller, ECS overdriven water pump pulley and some CABs for the M3.
This gives you an idea of the clearance I daily this thing with.
Did this a few weeks ago but forgot to post it. Im pretty bad about posting pics during my work so I only have a few but I know you guys like seeing progress regardless.
What I did:
Rebuilt rear suspension with toe/camber adjustment and new rear wheel bearings
80A poly for subframe
Z3 M diff bushing
75D for TAs
AKG adjustments
UUC brake lines
