yup, one inch spacers. I would not recommend going any bigger than that.

yup that was me, I was the dude that spun out! hahah I'am still on the same shitty tires. they are just about finished though. I did about 5 1 hour drift sessions at Adams Motorsports park. I am surprised they lasted this long
Hear is a few pictures of things around my car, don't think I've posted some of this stuff yet.
my battery relocation. I welded two bolts to the car for the ground cable. I put the battery hear because I felt it is a safer location. If i took an impact to the trunk the battery could short and cause a fire.
you can see the two bolts I welded on, I than painted over it to prevent rust.
I seen pictures of someone else that did this, cool mod if you ask me. you take a sheet metal console, cut it up a little, flatten it out, drill some holes, and you now have a poor mans "DTM" style shifter base.
I got the Greddy oil pressure gauge from my coworker for 20$ it was new, package was never opened. great quality if you ask me. it came with nice conneters, didnt have to use 1/4 inch spade style crimp connectors like the STACK gauge. the sensor for the Greddy gauge is a high quality Denso product. the temp sensor for the STACK gauge is from Auto Meter, it required the use of a spade connector.
the seat mount I fabricated. I bought a seat mount from Wedge Engineering but it was just waaaaay to tall.
not that low, once I build my cage the seat mount will be redesigned to be lower.
1 inch steering column spacers.
I put a gas tank from a late model E30 into my 87 325i.
holy wheel gap batman!!!
pimp slapping some tire walls at the local drift track.
I think the oil pan is cracked, hit the oil pan a couple times while at drift practice events.
A low profile high volume oil pan I Made. I need to come up with an oil suction tube design before I can use it. most likely going to just make a whole new one rather than modifying the stock one.
First time seeing this thread... hooollyyyy craaaap. Wicked good job on this man. I have a similar belief and idea for my wiring later on and I've been planning on doing that poor man's DTM style shifter since I saw AKG's DTM style shifter.

Keep it up!
my goal was to make the wiring as simple as i could. this is phase 1.5. my friend and I have plans to make it better. go for it! its really not that hard. just a basic understanding of electronics and how to read a wiring diagram.

thanks a lot, still sooo much more work to do. I got to get a cage in it this year. My plan is to compete(drifting) in the 2014 Top Drift season. I am going to do a small drift practice tomorrow. should get at least 5-8 runs in. In the next week or so I'll be taking to the engine and trans out to install my low profile oil pan and custom oil suction tube.
