I bought grade 8 m10's. you want about two inches of bolt past the body of whatever you engine stand uses. Also, get some high grade washers with the bolts, you can get it all at a specialty bolt shop.Leave a comment:

For the engine stand, we used two of the original tranny-engine bolts, and had to buy two longer bolts from HD for the top ones. Don't remember the size, but if you take the original bolts to HD, you can match them up in their size finder thing.

You're gonna be pulling out the Summer car by the time you're done :P
Seriously though, beautiful work guys. Can't wait to see the final product.
And by that I mean I can't wait to make the drive down and see it in person in a couple months...Leave a comment:

This maybe the week
Where we finally get some traction.
All the parts are here, Turk will start on the Engine install as he has figured out the wiring issues.
Wednesday the Stereo guy(Ernie) is coming up for the sounds system and the keyless entry.
Over the weekend did the hood since we had it out.

Wow, I really wish I had read thru this entire thread before coming out to visit the last time I was there. L when you told me..."Oh Frank btw, there's our e28"...I remember saying, 'oh cool..' because I only read the first 2 pages at that point....i'm drooling over here...cannot wait to see this thing running and complete.
Please call me if you need a hand...not like you have any shortage of volunteers.Leave a comment:
