    Quick update...

Got some Weber 48 DCO/SP side-drafts mounted on a manifold made by Hartmann for their old 190E DTM car. Throttle linkage under construction.

We're also building up a race engine using a Euro block (higher compression pistons) and a pair of cams with a rally profile (relatively low lift and high duration) from Cat Cams in the UK.

    New exhaust under construction.

    Lexan windows on order.

    Will post pics shortly.

So the Ultimate Track Car Challenge issue of GRM arrived today...

Ooh. This is interesting. Looks like there's some 190E content in this issue...

Turn to page 26. More 190E content. But this car looks familiar...

Cool to see the Guten Parts team getting some coverage in the national press :D

    Video from NJMP-Thunderbolt

Here's a session at NJMP-Thunderbolt from this past winter. Track temps were just above freezing. We got a sprinkling of freezing rain during the day; got hit by a monster blizzard on the drive back home. It was pretty intense.

Surprised by how well the Yoko A048 tires held up under such miserable conditions! They suck pretty bad on a hot/dry track, but did fine on this day. Weird.

It's not a problem anymore now that Guten Parts is in the game. We've done the R&D and track-tested everything. Now Levent can get you whatever you need.

    Video from Summit Point

Here's some in-car footage from NASA HyperFest last weekend. I'm trying to learn how to edit video. This one combines front and rear cameras; I'm playing with the picture-in-picture function.

I was at Summit Point for NASA Hyperfest this past weekend. The weekened before that, I was back at Tremblant with the BMW Club of Quebec. Still sorting through the hours of video.

Meanwhile, here are some photos from Tremblant in the rain:

Looking at the pics, I'm surprised to see so much body roll at the rear. The car feels flat, stable, and very neutral in the corners. What do you guys think? More spring rate?

Got a couple of PM's about the mirror mounts. People want to see how the SPA mirrors look on the car. Here you go:

I'm running the larger LeMans mirrors with convex lenses, but you have other options. They come in different sizes, flat vs. convex lens, and plastic vs. carbon fiber housing. Available through Pegasus and other racing supply houses.

I managed to register number 190 with NASA, BMW CCA Club Racing, and VARAC.
