87 325iS S52 OBD1 Swap

Just picked up my S52 yesterday. Drove all the way up to Minneapolis to grab it. I can only work on it Sundays cause i'm doing it in my parents garage and i live in a different city for college, so it will be kinda slow progress but i am shooting to have it done by first week of april.


here is everything i got. s52 w all obd1/e30 stuff and a box full of goodies like bimmerworld intake boot, euro hfm, m5 mounts, e21 booster, blah blah.


last time being on the ground with an eta motor.


took the hood off, ready to tear into it.


First thing I did was throw the car up on jackstands and I wanted to start ripping the brakes off since I'm thinking of a slight upgrade. thats just a friend workin on the rear brakes.

But why put such a great motor into that shell? No offense intended. Just noticing the very rough shape. Any plans for the body?

no offense. bought it that way with the crushed passenger door and i got the iS air dam from reggies motorworks with the shit paint and the crack/crookedness came from the shitty nebraska winter. slid on ice into a snow bank.

i've got tons of parts cars to grab doors/body panels off of and i have another iS air dam at the paint shop right now.. i'm more worried about mechanical/suspension stuff right now. doesnt matter how pretty it is if it can't drive haha

some updates..
-pulled eta/260
-cleaned the shit out of the bay
-installed e21 booster/e30 mc/res
-started to put in 95 m3 steering rack, waiting on my hardware to show up
-took engine bay pic while saying two in S52

front bumper was good til i was at a party and a lifted truck w dual exhaust backed into me..

bought the air dam like that (minus crack) from reggie at reggies motor works. nebraska winter ice storm made the crack happen. i've got another iS lip waiting to put on it.

been super busy with the swap/school/my 21st bday last night so it's a small update but a good one.

motor is in, everything is hooked up and it runs. first attempt failed because of my dumbass forgetting to clip the injectors to the rail.. quick pic and video
