Update
Car is running great drove down to san Diego today and got an average of 25.2 round trip which is about an 1.5 hours one way.
I changed the bulb color on the gauge and now it matches the amber glow a little better.

I noticed you have a mishimoto, I have the same one. How did you go about mounting it on the bottom mounts?
does it sit in the plastic mounts the same as stock?

I made a gauge holder out of wood wrapped in vinyl.
52mm or 2 1/16 vdo oil pressure gauge.
Thanks to e30savage who hooked me up with a spare center console to use as a mold.

gauge up top is the digital volt meter i made.
i got the gauge to light up in a similar color to the cluster.
