I have been doing mechanical stuff first.

    Now on to cosmetics:)

I have had a dent courtesy of the previous owner.

I had it done a OC bumper and body, The owner of the shop is named Darryl.
He got it done in 3 days
    424 dollars later
but I'm happy to still have matching vin's on all body panels.
I didn't just want to replace the fender with another used one.

How come you didn't have him spray you a iS lip while you were getting paint work done? Wouldn't have been much more and would have done wonders to the already great looking front end. Keep up the good work!

I don't have an is lip yet.
but your right, it would have been sick if they had painted it.

This is the measuring stick against which the definition of "clean white E30" should be judged.

The is lip is finally here, It definitely completes the front end.

                  no lip

A common culprit of the lip falling off in my opinion is due to old brittle clips.
Also, not having all clips mounted.
Each corner has 2 clips and there are 6 clips in the front.

jack up the car to have more access to the clips, you have too punch out the cylinders.
there are 2 cylinders per clip.

                  all new clips
                  sorry shitty picture angle

                  lip mounted

                  fun shot

This is great! It's like Japandrew's attention to detail, but without the attitude!

Yep, that'd be my M3 in your photo from last years SD event. Regrets I missed you in person this past Sat - had my e30 325iC there instead of the M3 (was all tidy for Sunday's HB Concours and didn't want to risk it). Saw your car - really impressed! Nice work. Perhaps at "Peerless's" gathering this year? If not, hope to see you at CnC.

I'm planning on going to the peerless gathering, I went last year and it was pretty mellow, no drama, free food.

                            is this your beauty?
